My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 2:1-2

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and declared, “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

I think that when they die, they are in for a really big surprise at how many non-christians are in heaven, and how many born-again people are relegated to the lower levels of heaven with the terrorists and murderers

I'd like to know what bible YOU are reading : or who's reading it to you.
The very scripture YOU use for your argument is proving otherwise.
John 12:31-32 the "world" is carnal world. The ruler of that world is Satan. When Jesus (who is speaking),is "lifted up from the earth", he is talking of his Crucifixion for all to see.See Romans 5:8

1Cor.15:21-22 The "death" that is talked about is spiritual death.Humans are denied paradise by the sin(spiritual death) of Adam.To reverse that Christ was resurrected as human to be crucified for the sin(spiritual death) of the world.YEP, need Jesus for that!

Mark 3:28 Jesus was also called "the son of man".The "sons of men",meaning mankind, not just the gender man;are forgiven sins & blaspheme. This again is Jesus speaking, and as God incarnate giving the power thru grace to pardon past sins& blasphemies. need Jesus there? guess so, he said it !
I could go on here, but I think i've proved my point.

YOUR question is actually blaspheme. If you actually study the bible before posting such a question maybe you'd understand it all better.

I think that you may not understand what Christians are saying when they say that you need certain things to be saved. It's "Christianese" as many like to call it. Here is the very core of what you need to believe to be saved from death and eternal suffering in Hell:

1. Believe in God; all other beliefs hinge on this one.

2. Believe in Jesus, who is a part of God and also His Son.

3. Believe that God sent His Son, Jesus, to Earth in the form of a little child.

4. Believe that Jesus lived a sinless life; He did not sin once on Earth. (*He was, however, tempted...but He did not sin.)

5. Believe that Jesus died on a cross as a sinless man. He died sinless so that He could take on the sins of everyone in the world. All who believe these things will have eternal life.

I hope that you now understand what you need to believe. If you have any questions or want Bible verses, please ask. My email address is: nsync2000jess@yahoo.com and my Yahoo IM id is: nsync2000jess

Actually the bible does say that many times. Here's a few verses:
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
John 14:6
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.""
Psalm 73:27
"Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you."

You can pick out many verses in the bible to get your point across. Why did you not quote the one, the only way to the Father is by Me. Sins can be forgiven if you accept Jesus as your savior and ask forgiveness. You people should not pick out the passages that suit your purpose and ignore the rest of them. The bad thing about this is, you know it, but you insist on doing it just to try to make a point.

John 3:16 - 18
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but the world through him be saved
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the father, but by me.

You are very unknowledgeable of the Bible sara, or you are trying to contradict Jesus himself;

read this:

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ

" I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live ; and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die". - Jesus (Jn. 11:25)

" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)am

For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16

According to this verse, only those that believe in Jesus as son of God will have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
John 3:17

According to this verse, one can only be "saved" through Jesus.

The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
John 3:18

According to this verse, all who don't believe in Jesus as son of God, are condemned, by simply not believing in Jesus as son of God.

Its a way of life not just a religion. If you Believe you'll act like it, if not, you'll doubt it and it will also show in your actions.

I'm a Christian and dont trip on it--- Rev 22:11. If you read it you'll see why. Whether you "convert" or not is on You.

Now if you are to lazy to read the scripture I just referred you to...again...no skin off my back. and that goes now for the asker but the commentator as well.

Guess I'll write it for you...Rev 22.11"He that is unjust, let hem be unjust still: and he which is filthy let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous let him be righteous still: and he that is holy let him be holy still"...read on a little I encourage you educate yourself.

God dont need little ole me to defend Him. He'll handle up on His own. When the day comes....Every knee shall bow....

I love you all all the same. Hope not to offend anyone, but if I do thats cool too.

Christians are to be the light, and those whom are drawn to the light might be saved...but it is a way of life suposed to reflect our master Jesus...people are suposed to be attracted to this and enquire about it. I will never impose my beliefs upon anyone...its on You. Personal accountability isnt as ramphant in Christianity as it should be...in MY opinion

first of all i presumed after I said your question how unusual it replaced into. 2d to percentage ones testimony is the proper to expose how Jesus loved you back to existence back. third I have continuously been taught that in case you meet yet another's want then they're going to hear to at least something you may want to assert. lets succeed contained in the way the Lord chooses to apply us. it may no longer be the way you do it besides the undeniable fact that the Lord will %. the way He needs to apply you and supplies you with the right words to assert to them. it would want to be with the help of a know expertise. it would want to be having you pray in tongues round them of their very own language and they're going to hear God chatting with them by you. Be open and don't be so legalistic or inflexible that God can't use you contained in the way that receives that human being's interest. we are to be led with the help of the Holy Spirit and then no urgent the persons to get carry of. God bless you for this question. Cami
