Pictures of Hollis Woods is about an orphan girl who runs away from every place the orphanage finds for then 1 day the orphanage found an old lady that wanted to adopt her. Hollis liked this lady better than some of the other people she had lived with. She learned after a while that the old lady was going to have to go to a rest home so the lady and Hollis got into the lady's car and they drove to a distant place.

"Pictures of Hollis Woods" is a book about a girl in foster care. Half the chapters tell what is happening in her life at the time of the story. The other half tell about pictures she has drawn and eventually reveal what happened that led her to run away from the foster family whom she loved dearly. The chapters alternate with the drawings, so it can be a bit confusing at first. (It's kind of like Walter Dean Myer's book "Monster," where half the book is Steve's journal and the other half a script for a film he is writing). Overall, "Pictures of Hollis Woods" is a good book. There's a reason it won a Newberry Honor medal.

OMG! this lullaby is like, one of my favorite books ever. You really have to read it, but it's about a girl named Remy who's mother has been married like 5 times and at the end of the summer is #6, she just graduated high school and is a total anti-love, love doesn't exist type person. Then she meets Dexter who is the total opposite. Read! It's really good!
