It sounds like SAD. Seasonal something disorder. A light box is suggested for people with this problem. . It imitates the sun's natural light. A summer setting in your home might help mentally but you still need the rays from the sun. I try to sit out in the sunshine even in the winter for 10 minutes every day that I can . Those few minutes make a big difference.

yea, although i like the colder temps because i cant stand the heat i do find myself kinda gloomy ecspecially in the winter months...there are those things that u can paint and stick in your windows to let the sunlight shine through..buy some pretty lamps so u have a lot of light in ur room and if u are allowed may paint or find someone who can paint a happy summer scene on ur wall....

oh goodness i get depressed during fall and winter also.
daylight savings during fall is possibly the worst thing ever
lack of sunlight makes the days seem shorter, so its like there is less time to do things, and its cold outside
i can't imagine why anyone would like these months besides the holidays

They have lamps just for seasonal disorders. Talk to your doctor maybe insurance will pay. If not they are pricey maybe try going to a pet shop. They have full spectrum lights for reptiles there that are is close to sun light as you can get. We like reptiles absorb vitamins through our skin from the sun. Doesn't hurt to try. Good luck

i've got heard that this occurs with the aid of decreased day easy hours. attempt to fill your place with surprising lighting fixtures, use surprising colored decor and do as many outdoor issues as is achieveable (climate allowing) at an identical time because it rather is sunlight hours.

make sure that you are getting enough vitamin D. also, there are lights made that emulate the full range of sunlight (be careful with them) which might help.
