He shocked the religious establishment. Christ partied with crooks, drunks and sluts. A prostitute kissed his feet. He did things on the Sabbath he wasn't supposed to. He insulted dignitaries, calling them vipers, blind fools, whitewashed tombs and other endearing names. Those closest to him usually had no idea what he was talking about - he's warning them about the Pharisees and they think he's complaining about leaving the bread behind - but to those outside his inner circle, Christ wasn't nearly so intelligible. He was acknowledged by demons and rejected by theologians. He spoke to a fever, a tree, even a storm. Before long, Jesus' sanity was called into question and at one stage his family came to take charge of him. He was forever messing up funerals, wrecking beggars' only source of income - their infirmities - and outraging religious leaders. He made goo with spit and smeared it on a beggar's eyes. He stuck his fingers in a man's ears, spat, and grabbed the man's tongue.

Tiffany, it is asked in respect. Go back and read it again. To serve Father God like Christ did, would you be willing to do the things He did? Hmm? Selah.

He also brought hope to the discouraged, peace to the troubled, encouragement to the burdened, freedom to the trapped. He was gentle, patient, understanding, merciful and fair.

That's a yes.

Yes, I'd love to be JUST like him. It wasn't a Party, he didn't insult them, he called them what they were. How could his followers know exactly what he was talking about, he was their Teacher and they hadn't learned all of that. Wrecking beggars income? He gave them the opportunity to get real work and fend for themselves. No more being robbed of what little they'd collected and stuff, besides HE NEVER HEALED ANYONE WHO DIDN'T HAVE FAITH IN HIM. So, they WANTED TO BE HEALED! He would even say, "Your faith has made you whole." Wrecking funerals by waking their loved ones? ROFLMAO. You can't be serious. Lazarus and the young girl's families were both OVER-JOYED! AT HAVING THEIR BROTHER AND DAUGHTER back!!!

Sorry, you're gonna have to do better. And if I were blind and it would cure me, you could take a friggin dump on me.

well, to honestly answer your question WITH the references you have included, it would truly be irresponsible to answer either way seeing how you have taken everything out of context, and have pretty much used your own opinion to get your point across.

The smearing of spit into the mans eyes reference you claimed as a bad thing, in according to the Bible healed the man from blindness. That same mentality of representation would mean that a doctor who sticks his finger up your rear end to check for prostate cancer is nothing but a sexual deviant, which we all know is not the case, well in most instances anyways.

This is the same thing done by both sides of the issue at which you claim to request an allegiance to, by being like Jesus or by not being like Jesus.

Those who base their opinions on someone Else's interpretation are themselves not making a decision of their own.

But after all it is your opinion to believe in that which you believe, as it is anybody Else's right to believe in that which they believe.

Which would you rather? Someone's spit on your eyes for a minute and being able to see again, or going blind the rest of your life? I'm not as much like Christ as I want to be, but yes, I do want to be like Him. Yes, He talked to a storm, but it worked, didn't it? It would only be insane if He talked to it, and it didn't respond. Most great men of all time where looked on by those around them as having lost their marbles, but looking back, those that go on after, see what they were really trying to do. Christians are supposed to talk to people of all walks of life. He didn't actively join prostitues and drunks in their lifestyle. He was an upright man not afriad to go anywhere, but kept from practicing what they practiced, but He also showed He wasn't above them, He didn't tell them they were too unworthy of Him. As for the infirm, read up on them, they usually walked away with joy and many thanks, and He only healed those that came to Him for healing. Demons knew who He was because they feared Him, that He had the power to destroy them.

Take up your cross and follow me.

Luke 14:28 "But don't begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first getting estimates and then checking to see if there is enough money to pay the bills?"

He did shock some within the religious establishment.

He did not party.

He did spend time with those who needed salvation. He was not "too good" to save them. He was the only good that COULD save them.

He did tell people what they were.

Some of those closest to him were often confused by him.

Demons acknowledged him because they knew who he was.

Some theologians did not acknowledge him because they did not know who he was.

He spoke to his Father's creation.

He did not heal anyone who did not ask him to heal them. Therefore, he wrecked nothing.

I will always strive to be Christ-like. He did so many great things. He didn't judge people by what they did for a living and He help so many people. He died for everyone's sins, no one else can do that. I will pray for you, that you will come to know God and grow to love Him in the same way He loves you!

you may be a stupid fool but you did read the Bible at least once though your interpretation is slightly twisted.

to answer your question: yes the world would be a better place if we all were a little more Christ-like.
