When 9-11 happened they immediately went in and fired all the baggage handlers by making them take a test that they had so many points given to those who were prior service people. Such that the people who had been doing it many who were immigrants lost their jobs such that prior service military took over the jobs and the security has improved because the military also has an intelligence requirement to get a job whereas the contractors who were doing the jobs before did not. What I want to ask is why did this not happen with at least all the lower positions of immigration such that things like the border partrol guards themselves would not be taking people across the border in border vans for 400 dollars a person. At least one person has been caught and I have heard of many others doing it. I walked through the border point and saw them not doing barely any checks and I know some of those people coming in were illegal in cars and walking through. The scarey thought is mixed in with all those illegals are potential terrorists. The people from South American countries when they get deported tell the ignorant people of immigration they are from Mexico because then they get dropped off just across the border in Mexico so it is easier for them to come back. I am sure a prior service especially one who served in Iraq will make sure all the rules are followed to the t. I do not live in Texas and they tend to hire Hispanics from what I saw so that means since I am caucasian categorically even though I speak enough Spanish to communicate with the Spanish speaking who cross the border I doubt if I would be hired.

I have thought about it, because I would at least be humane to them. But I live to far from the border.

Why would I want to take a job where they tie my hands behind my back? Or put me in prison for trying to do my job? There has to be a better way for me to help with this problem.

Yes, they tried to recruit me and I actually took the tests and considered it briefly, but I couldn't work for them since it would be a conflict of interests based on personal beliefs.

If I ever feel like doing something to benefit this nation it wouldn't be something as lame as that.
