I can sympathise with you mate.

I had a car from yes car credit. Had the car a year and i missed a payment. Got in touch with them to arrange to pay the arrears and continue with the payments. They asked me to pay them 3 times the amount i owed for 3 months. I owed them £150 and they wanted £400 a month for 3 months. To my reckoning that was £500 more than i owed them.

Anyway, i didnt agree to it, just to pay the regular payment and the arrears off the following month. Which they didnt agree to!!

Within 2 weeks, they had taken the car, sold it, plus added an extra £1000 onto my bill!!!!!

i queried the bill with them, they told me they had taken £200 off for the proceeds of the sale of the car.....wow.

Anyway, they are now after me for approx 2 grand more than the original amount i borrowed (including insurances, costs for repossesion, etc).

I have been to the citizens advice who are looking into it, as i made an offer to pay which they refused.

My only advice to you is to tell them to come take the car, in theory this will save you a grand in repossesion costs and stop the phone calls. Then make them take u to court and ccj u, ur credit is gonna be affected woteva happens, then lie to the court about ur income/outgoings and the court will decide how much u can afford to pay them monthly.

Yea u will have bad credit and b paying it off the rest of ur life, but this company are bastads and prey on ppl who they know will sooner or later default on their payments. Thats how they made their money b4 they shut down!!!

Make their life as difficult as they are making urs!!!!

Thats wot i'm doing, all over the sake of £150 !!!!!!

I have had my car of them for eighteen months, the biggest regret of my life. My husband rang them and asked how much I owed,as we were giong to finish it off.9,000 they wanted, hence another argument they caused in our house. Also two weeks ago my immobilizer broke and when I checked I had taken an insurance out fot mechanical and electric breakdown. They now want proof of a service record within the first six months of buying the car. I thought that they would have already done that before they sold the car. Have'nt sent them the bill yet, I will keep you informed as to how I got on.

Hi My daughter had problems with them. The car she bought from them was nothing but trouble and she was also having problems with the payments as they were astronomical. She asked for a reduction to help her over her bad time and they refused so she told them to come and collect the car. They didn't bother collecting it for 4 months and tried to make her pay for that period of time. Suffice to say that after a letter to them on some headed notepaper they withdrew the charges.
Fight them and you will win. Good luck

Go to citizens advice. We ended up filing bankruptcy following dealings with yes car credit. We had other debts, but they pushed us over the edge
Good Luck!
