It is a bruise or hematoma (bleeding under the skin). There is nothing to make it go away except time. I would suggest concealer (yes makeup) until it goes away. Ice can help some but do not leave on the area longer than 20 minutes.
In the future, if you hurt yourself, put ice on the area as soon as possible and this can help keep bruising from being so bad.
If you fell there is a chance you broke the skin (even if it didn't bleed and the skin is scratched) so wash the area well with soap and water, apply an antibiotic ointment and keep the are covered with a bandage until the skin heals completely to keep infection to a minimum.

Okay, I did the exact same thing and went through hell, so listen up. I died my hair black and went to get it taken out. First I tried dye kits and nothing worked. SO then I went to a hair place and it turned orange. Yeah, orange :( When you dye your hair black and they try to bleach or chemically fix it, it goes redish. SO be very careful. Go to a well known, well trusted salon, get a quote on a chemical fix. It will be expensive. And this is only if you want it out immediately. I would suggest to not go from black to blonde or lighter ash tones because thats where it would look orangey. After about 5 months and a couple visits, my hair turned out fine. So good luck with yours, be very cautious.

Ice packs tend to speed bruise healing.
Be sure to wrap well in a cloth to prevent damaging your skin.
Will still take a while to heal, depending on size, but it WILL fade.

You just have to wait for it to go away. It's blood under your skin and you can't get rid of it. Your body will take care of it in its own time. It will turn lovely shades of green and yellow and then it will go away.

I've had one of those before, wrap an ice pack in a napkin and apply it to the injury.
