Gumbet is a very busy night life place with many bars and night clubs so be ready for a PARTY!!! If you are of the older disposition then you can go over the hill (1km) into Bodrum and enjoy the relaxation of jazz bars and easy going resteraunts. The beach in Gumbet is very crowded and noisy as is Bodrum. But if you want a quiet time you can go to Bitez beac or one of the quieter areas like Gundogen. Hope this helps.

i ve been to gambet and its fantastic been in turkey bout 7 times check ahead for weather forecast may be cooler than you think and also always barter you will always get a bit of money off things if you ask even in designer shops trust me buy a phrase book and learn basic words "hayir" means no "evet" means yes and "seechtergeet" means **** off (just in case)

Its really nice and very cheap , the resturants in the town centre are excellent. Try to visit the gold centre in bodrum.Hope you have a good time
