I think keeping an open mind is a euphamism for never making a decision.

By never making a decision, you're off the hook for everything. (I think that's bad.)

LOL on your first answer! I agree, someone with a load of garbage to dump wherever they see fit DO look for open-minded individuals. There is a difference in being open-minded and naive. Accept a theory/concept at first, then study it - do research if you must....and THEN make a decision as to what to do with the information before getting led down a rosey path.

No, an open mind does not mean absorbing and believing, you can still choose what you think is right and wrong. Having an open mind is more about accepting that people are different, that there are different ideas out there and only embracing that. you don't have to embrace a specific idea.

they will probably try, but if you get some critical thinking skills you will be able to keep an open mind and keep out the garbage.

it depends where you are , if the people you know is clean , they'll put the garbage in the right place .
