16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John3:16 -- especially the 'whosoever' part -- is one I like. Psalm 130, where the Psalmist mentions calling to God out of the depths, comforts me, too, and reminds me that some of God's best-loved people go through deep trials. I also like Ps 94:19 because it talks about God's consolation for an anxious soul. Ps 27:13-14 is another one I really like, because it has hope -- "I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" means I don't have to be in Heaven before I see God's goodness, even though it may feel like that right now. I don't recall the address, but it's a good verse where Paul talks about currently seeing through a glass darkly but seeing clearly when we meet God in Heaven. Even the Apostle Paul didn't understand everything and got confused sometimes. Take heart.
I know, you wanted one verse. Sorry, to me asking for one verse is like going to a big buffet and saying "which one thing is good to eat?" There's lots of 'right' answers to a question like that!

matt. 28:20b and I am with you ALWAYS even to the end of the age.
Psalm 42:1-6
As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food
day and night,
while men say to me all day long,
"Where is your God?"
4 These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go with the multitude,
leading the procession to the house of God,
with shouts of joy and thanksgiving
among the festive throng.
5 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and 6 my God.
My soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
when your soul is downcast within you, remember something great that God has done for you this is what the writer was remembering here about the heights of Hermon-- from mount mizar.

Try looking through Genesis, it's always a pick-me-up. Especially the part where the all-perfect God STOLE a rib from Adam to make Eve. Or the part where God LIED to them about the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Why would God lie?
Or how God chose to create evil within his Eden paradise with the snake that told Adam & Eve the truth. Or the grand finale that had the all-forgiving God banish his perfect creations from Eden because they weren't actually perfect. Maybe God made a mistake?
Better yet, go do something good for yourself. No matter what you believe, you are still ultimately responsible for your own happiness.
