I'm pretty sure discrimination is illegal, but enforcement and attitude is individual. Many men treat women with respect and as individuals. Others ( and women do this too) treat women as though they were naughty children and discriminate against them. Women still earn less for the same jobs as men, and many other inequities. You can read my blog roll as a start, and continue on with a web search using terms like equal pay, women voters, suffrage, state laws, etc. Just stick with it until you find what you are looking for.

1. President Clinton implemented a program with staff to insure that women received the same pay as men.
2. President Bush is no longer enforcing it.

As for women's rights. They are the same everywhere. Women are respected equally and if there happens to be a male chauvinistic pig among us we squish him immediately.

a women has the same rights as a man. you know this. if you feel treated unfairly then report it. you should not have to feel like that for any reason.you have your rights as a human being. hold to that firmly

womens rights ( or equal rights) is a federal law and would be the same thoughout all of the US.
