no, a cdr is only 702 mb in capacity which means a dvd with 4gb capacity can't fit, and dvd softwares aren't capable of doing that, at least for the meantime, maybe after 10 years. and oh there's this new format blue ray which is denser than dvd. beer?

If you make a video in DVD format and a size of the video is smaller then 700 mb, you should be able to burn it on the CD. (I'm sure for nero 7, but you should try with 6)

You can convert a DVD to a VCD with Nero but I'm not sure if v6 will do it. I have Nero 7 and I know it will. Then you can burn it to a CD that most newer DVD players will play. Just look for a VCD option.
