Decopage?? (im not sure if thats how you spell it) but get some elmers glue or some kind of craft glue and cut out the pics you like and glue them like a collage onto coffee cans, notebooks, etc. that way your recycling more than one thing too cause you can after you stick the pics all over it you can use the can for spare change or hair ties etc make sure after you put all the pics on that you seal them on with a clear coat of something i usually just brush the glue on both sides of pic then when i stick it on i just brush over it again to get rid of fingerprints/smudges.. you might try doing a search on decopage diy.com they should have some tips or you could even go there and put "old magazines" in the search and see what hits you get with that

Magazine paper can't actually be recycled, like say, newspaper. The glossy coating causes problems. You could give them away to places that have waiting rooms, most of them don't seem to care if the news is out of date. Sometimes my local kindergarden has a magazine drive, so they can use them for collages, maybe a school in your area would be interested.

Give them to nursing homes, gives the residents something to read. Check with your local primary school. They use them to cut out pictures for projects. If you have a place that takes paper for recycling, that would work too.

many ways, one that comes to mind is donate them to a school for reference material, some may be collectible such as Time's January 2000 edition, also you can give them as gifts say all the magazines you have that coincide with someones birthday. the ideas are as endless as your collection

I carry mine to different places like local hospital waiting rooms or doctors offices. It's better reading than golfers digest or the medical pamplets; and everyone welcomes the free reading material while waiting.

Donate them to a school, they'll use them in art classes to cut out the pictures.

Offer them to your local elementary school...
Offer them to the doctor's offices that you go to that don't have any good magazines...
Offer them to the public library.
Cancel your subscriptions and read them online.

Your local daycare or preschool would love to have them...if they don't have half-naked movie stars in them. We love to cut out pictures of animals and flowers, and make collages!
