What problems may arise later if things get serious? What if the girl is very mature for her age and prefers older men? How does society view the couple?

Nothing wrong with it... but you should never date anyone regardless in age that doesn't have the qualities you think are important in a relationship. If e has them...don't worry about it. But remember when he is 62 you'll be 47. It would be terrible to resent him for being old at that point in your life... make sure he is what you want in life and nothing else will matter.

I dated with that same discrepancy... it didn't matter except for we had such different interests.... and eventually we grew apart...

Age doesn't really matter these days. If you really want to date someone that much older than you go for it. Look at all of the stars most of them have a larger gap between ages!!

Age is just a number as long as you are both of legal age and it doesn't matter what everyone thinks. They would be together to make themselfs happy not everyone else right? As long as these two people are happy, then go for it.

Start out slow and see where it goes. You're crossing all kinds of bridges before you get there. Older men can be wonderful. If it's right, it will work out.

There's nothing wrong with that. As long as both parties are okay with the age difference, I say it's perfectly fine!!

well in my own opinion. you shouldnt care what others say, if you like the guy go ahead. age is just a number, as long as your over 18 to be with the guy.

Why not? If they both consent and enjoy each others company, what wrong with that? Society doesnt know what they want, so why do you care with they think? If you both want it than do it!
