Did your vet prescribe pain medication? Bone cancer can sometimes be painful. Watch your dog for signs that she may be in pain, and give her the medication as needed.
Give her lots of creature comforts, especially as she nears the end. Cuddles, soft words. Let her sleep in the house if she doesn't do so already. Keep her toys nearby. Give her her favorite doggie treats. Schedule time for play and exercise, but let her guage how much she can do. She will tire out quicker than she used to.

So sorry to hear of this. I have several friends who went through this with their fur kid and just loved on them and played w/ their dog all the time and spoiled it. As one person said, the animals know pleasure and pain...and if it's all pain and no little pleasure it makes the poor animal want to give up quicker. Cuddle soft and comfortably. Kept the food/toys nearby enough and kept the dogs as comfortable as possible. A couple of friends and my sister included when her dog had a massive brain hemorrhage had to put their "fur kid" to sleep. It's hard but better on the animal
Hang in there

Ostoscarcoma is common is some breeds.
Make your dog as comfortable as possible for as long as she is not in pain.
Spoil her any way you like. Spend lots of quality time with her doing the things she likes best.
The vet should be able to help you to manage her pain.
And when her time comes release her from her pain.
It is the hardest thing you will do but you will do it out of love for your pet.
I ended my Doberman's pain a few months ago he was 5 and had cancer. It was very hard but done becasue I loved him and did not want him to suffer in pain.
Now he runs free and healthy at the Rainbow Bridge. Where he will wait for me as your girl will wait for you.
I am sorry for you haing to go through this it is hard.

My first Dane was lost to bone cancer. I also was told that she would only have about 6 months. She went into a sort of remission for a while and we had a year together before I lost her. All you can do is try to keep her pain free and love her.
I feel for you. It's a long and sad good bye to one that you love.

Bone cancer (malignant tumors, osteosarcoma is the worst) metasthasizes very quickly and the progression is fast. limb bone cancer is very painful. You can mantain your dog with analgesics to make him more comphortable. You can use a combination of non steroidal antiinflamatories( drugs similar to aspìrine, i.e.: Rimadyl, ketorolac, meloxicam, piroxicam) and narcotics, such as tramadol, butorphanol, morphine. Their have side effects, of course. Consult this with your vet.
