so i used to really like this guy, but then i realized that he is shallow and only cares about what people are on the outside. he acts so fake, and it really makes me mad. i used to think that he liked me too, because he'd be looking at me a lot, and he still does it. but then i realized that he's popular, and i'm not that social, meaning i don't hang out with the popular squad. last year i thought that he liked me, since he figured out my name without me telling him. i thought i liked him this year, but i've realized that i probably don't. we have a class together and there's 3 popular girls in it from his group. he didn't even say hi to me this year and doesn't talk to me. but when those girls aren't looking, i can see him looking at me. i'm not really sure what he wants right now. what should i do?

He likes you, but doesnt want others to know....for some reason. Id say hi to him whether he said hi back or not.

Sounds to me like he is attracted to you, but isn't putting much effort into trying to build a relationship with you, because he is more interested in just getting laid.
I've had friends in highschool that act the same way as you described, and they tell me flat out that they just want to get laid. They could find better prettier girlfriends, but they often choose the ones that will give up sex the easiest.

I think you should pay attention to your class work and not the goofy guy. He has attention disorder, if he is looking at you when not looking at the other girls. "cross eyed " possible? I got these words for you : Many other fish in the SEA !
