They are caused when bacteria gets into the urethra, if it's not flushed out it makes its way up to the bladder and multiplies causing that wonderful burning sensation when you pee.

I wonder if Jessica Simpson and Dan Quayle would together create a blatter infection?

Bad spelling or an STD. Either way it fits... (I know it's not an STD, it's just funnier that way)

blader infections are form bacteria travelling up to the bladder with the urethra. for guys the best advice is to pee after sex and thats pretty much it if you are circumcised. for girls its a wole different story lot less travel for bacteria so more opportunity for infection

Wiping back to front after going #2.
Too much pop/soda/iced tea.
Not peeing after sex & bacteria getting inside you.
Dehydration.

Alot of things can cause it, any bacteria getting into the uretha. If you are sexually active, always urinate after sex.
