Assuming that no cause for grief is to be found, that my life is part of a divine plan for me to serve the will of THE LORD, and otherwise to promote wellbeing in my circumstances, that I am taking steps to do good and to make peace in my heart and in my environs, what will give me heightened feelings of pleasure and sanctimony and an inner sense of satisfaction and fun? What can I do to better connect with others, to tread a path of goodness and contentment, to find more and more (and deeper and longer sustained) times of peace for me to fulfill my needs? Where can I turn for strength? What will keep me holy-minded and push me ever closer to God? What judgements must I pronounce to keep on the road to the Kingdom of Heaven and to fulfill the fate which has been writ for me? How do I find likeminded others? What books can I seek out that will teach me better ways of conduct? What can I do that I am not already doing that will spare me from heartache and deliver me elsewhere?

Well, I would say first and foremost that God never guaranteed Happiness or lack of heartache here on earth.

The earth is flush with sin and our flesh is full of sin nature.

Someone once wrote, that we are either in the middle of a crisis or tribulation and trial, or we are just coming out of a crisis, tribulation and trial, or we are headed smack dab into one.

How to stay calm and steady during these times? Always remember that God will not give us more than we can bear and rejoice in that thought.
Always remember that God only tests his own. Be glad and thankful that through trials and such that we are given proof that we belong to God and give him glory for showing us that proof.

If we can stay true to God during good times and bad, we are on the right path and that alone is enough to cause our heart to sing for joy to our creator and savior.

Also remember that we are not here to fulfill our own needs. God does that better than we ever could anyway. We are here for Gods glory and pleasure and to fulfill his will and not our own.

However, those who have found the truth have an advantage. For example, a believer who is mourning over someone who has died does not have to feel “sorrow just as the rest also do who have no hope.” His grief will not be boundless. This is true regarding other problems too. The person who has found the truth knows that present hardships are only temporary. Hope makes it easier to bear up under difficulties. A balanced life-style also helps.—1 Thessalonians 4:13.

Paul gave Christians this exhortation: “Always rejoice in the Lord. Once more I will say, Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4) This shows that while joy is within the reach of all of us, it also is possible not to have it. The anxieties of this old system of things could prove to be an obstacle. In addition, the Bible tells us that we need to cultivate joy, one of the fruits of God’s spirit. (Galatians 5:22, 23.) If you continually take in knowledge of the truth and remind yourself of the spiritual riches it has brought and still brings, your joy will not diminish. It will become stronger as we approach the time when God “will wipe out every tear” from people’s eyes and when neither “mourning nor outcry nor pain” will be anymore.—Revelation 21:4.

Still, Christians can be joyful, even when under trial. To understand how this is possible, consider first what joy is. Joy has been defined as “the emotion excited by the acquisition or expectation of good.” Consequently, if we take the time to count our present blessings while meditating on the joys that await us in God’s new world, we can be joyful.

3 Everyone has some blessings for which to be grateful.
We can give thanks for the support of loving friends and family members who help deal with illness with dignity and courage. And all true Christians, regardless of their circumstances, can rejoice in the privilege of knowing Jehovah, “the happy God,” and Jesus Christ, “the happy and only Potentate.” (1 Timothy 1:11; 6:15) Yes, Jehovah God and Jesus Christ are supremely happy. They have maintained their joy despite the fact that conditions on earth are far different from what Jehovah intended in the beginning. Their example can teach us much about how to maintain our joy.

You see, there is no end to the knowledge of God. (Romans 11:33.) Throughout eternity, there will always be more to learn and new horizons to explore. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) And as you continue to learn about Jehovah God, you will keep on living—not just a few years but forever.—Psalm 22:26.

Is not a delightful future on a paradise earth worth any effort or sacrifice you make? Of course it is! Well, Jehovah has extended to you the key to that splendid future. That key is the knowledge of God. Will you use it?

If you love Jehovah, you will find delight in doing his will. (1 John 5:3.) As you pursue that course, what blessings you will experience! If you apply the knowledge of God, it can bring you a happier life even in this troubled world. And the future rewards are immense, for this is the knowledge that leads to everlasting life. Now is the favorable time for you to act. Be determined to live in harmony with the knowledge of God. Demonstrate your love for Jehovah. Honor his holy name and prove Satan a liar. In turn, Jehovah God, the Source of true wisdom and knowledge, will rejoice over you in his great and loving heart. (Jeremiah 31:3; Zephaniah 3:17) And he will love you forever.

Many are impressed by the joy and good organization at assemblies of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
