Will you agree to believe in my purple hobgoblin? If no, why?
Can you provide more evidence than I can? If you say "the bible", I can also provide a typed "purple hobgoblin manual", also written by man.

To: MySticTrE: Yes, I can agree. I can agree with the person who believes in god, and they can agree with me. I take it you can't answer the question. You must believe in god but not my hobgoblin.

To: LaioOthy, Ok then give me your evidence. You silly little man, if you had any real evidence there wouldn't be any atheists.

To: davlynark: Ok, then. How can you prove that everything we see around us came from your god and not my purple hobgoblin? It's logic 101 people, I can do this all day long.

To: tink3rs, YOU are missing the point completely. Don't you see that if you expect me to believe in your god that can't be seen or proven, then using your logic you must believe in my purple hobgoblin that can't be seen or proven?

To: Alfkowitz: YOU are to easy. I will use your own logic to defeat you as well.
Give ME evidence that your god is god via fulfilled prophecy. (furthermore show evidence of any fullfilled prophecy or psychic prediction).
Next, Give me the same historical evidence to show that your god didn't come from MAN's Imagination. Btw, if you had any REAL evidence, there wouldn't be any atheists, buhhdists or hindus now would there?

To: YES: No, I don't hate christians. I engage in logical discussions with anyone who enjoys this particular subject. You should read some of the emails I've received from Christians on here. I've been cussed, cursed and told I should die by christians.
Further, your answer isn't an answer. It's a cop out. You can't answer my question because by doing so, it gives your god no more credibility than a purple hobgoblin.

To GARY: Why are you so angry? Why does it anger you people so much when you realize how illogical your belief system is? You tried to dodge my question but I can use your logic to make your argument look silly:
I'll agree with you that I have a choice between heaven or hell IF YOU agree with me that YOU have a choice between being boiled in huckleberry juice for eternity or living in a giant marshmallow for all of eternity (depending on whether or not you accept the purple hobgoblin as your personal saviour)

To Emmie: You said "Scientifically". Please do some research. EVERY mainstream scientist, geologist, biologist etc, with any credibilty whatsoever, believe in the big bang and evolution not a creator. Please do your homework because I assure you that you are out of your league if you think you can debate me on this issue.

To: robert p: Thanks, and you my friend can't agree to join a belief in the purple hobgoblin. It's up to you and you alone. BTW: I've already read the book of Romans, have you ever read anything about hobgoblins?
Aren't you paying attention? Think about your logic... by discrediting my hobgoblin, you are discrediting your god as well.

To: ruru1971coldwar: and I as well, can't force you to believe in our purple skinned Saviour, the Purple Hobgoblin, father of other hobgoblins. Only the purple hobgoblin can find a way for You to believe in him.
NOW, back to my ORIGINAL question...It's a YES or NO question. Why will you not answer it?

To Josieb: I'm sorry, you are obviously too young or uneducated to understand the point. I will try to help. YOUR BIBLE was written by MEN. So was the quaran, so was the book of morman and my hobgoblin manual. You can provide me no more evidence that your book was "divinely" inspired than I can provide you for mine.

To DILL: Or what? And I find it odd that you consider me a dumbas.s for believing in the exact same concept you believe in. The only difference is you call yours "god" and I call mine the purple hobgoblin. Don't you see that by YOUR definition of dumbas.s, you would also be considered a dumbas.s?

TO: Sweet Thing: What makes you think I'm angry. I asked a logical question that makes me laugh. If you want to see angry, look at some of the messages the christians left.
I really do understand how you feel. You see, I used to believe in YOUR god, but I later had some personal experiences with the purple hobgoblin and he showed me the way. He can show you too, but rememer....IT"S CALLED FAITH. Just have faith in him and he may let you rub his long beard for good luck.

HEY ALFKOWITZ!!! Yes, i know that PARTS of the bible are considered by SOME to be historically accurate. However, I'm only interested in the part that proves YOUR GOD WROTE IT. Please just provide me with the part that PROVES YOUR GOD's EXISTENCE. Parts of the Quaran are historically accurate as well, yet you aren't a muslim.

Alfowitz: Also, about your fulfilled prophecy. gimmie a break man. I guess you believe in nostrodamus too? I know that there are religious nut jobs like pat robertson who use there propaganda laden infomercial they call "the 700 club", to tell everyone how bible prophecy has come to pass. Just because some whacko gives you a good story and quotes some scripture doesn't mean it's fact. For every one of you who believe in that nonsense, I'll show you an educated scientist, biologist, geologist etc... who thinks it's bogus.

ALFKOWITZ: you are missing the point!!! What difference does it make if mohamad was a murderer? That isn't the issue. The issue is that YOU CAN'T PROVIDE ANY MORE EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM than any other religion can provide to support theirs. Don't you see that based on YOUR LOGIC, In order for me to accept YOUR god/religion, you would have to also accept mine? Neither you or I can prove our gods exist or don't exist. Therefore one carries no more or less weight than the other.
..(This is a simple lesson in logic my friend)

Give me some evidence that this P.H. is god via fulfilled prophecy, and then we can talk. Also, you would need to provide some historical evidence to show that he didn't materialize from your own imagination.
Take THAT wise guy!
Response:
You do know that the Bible is considered a historical text, right? History is kind of hard to "prove", since it can only be done and recorded once. Give me proof that George Washington existed. What? You only have historical accounts? Are you a religious nut?
If you are really interested, compare Isaiah 53:5 to the Gospel account of Jesus. If that doesn't do it for you, open up a question on fulfilled prophecy in the Bible.
BTW: is rebellion against laws proof that there are no judges?
"HEY ALFKOWITZ!!! Yes, i know that PARTS of the bible are considered by SOME to be historically accurate. However, I'm only interested in the part that proves YOUR GOD WROTE IT."
-accuracy in science and history ought to be considered great evidences that it came from God. How did the anciant Jews know about the "paths in the seas" (Ps 8.8) if we didn't discover it until about 200 years ago?
"Please just provide me with the part that PROVES YOUR GOD's EXISTENCE."
-Prove your own existance first. Do you even know what you mean by "prove"?
"Parts of the Quaran are historically accurate as well, yet you aren't a muslim."
-Maybe, but why would I put my faith in a simple caravan raider, murderer and adulterer?
"Alfowitz: Also, about your fulfilled prophecy. gimmie a break man. I guess you believe in nostrodamus too?"
-At least one of his prophecies failed. Under Old Testament law he would have been executed.
"I know that there are religious nut jobs like pat robertson who use there propaganda laden infomercial they call "the 700 club", to tell everyone how bible prophecy has come to pass. Just because some whacko gives you a good story and quotes some scripture doesn't mean it's fact. For every one of you who believe in that nonsense, I'll show you an educated scientist, biologist, geologist etc... who thinks it's bogus."
-Lots of nice ad-hominims here. Have you run out of ammunition, or do you prefer to stick to actual historical examples?

No, I will not believe in your purple hobgoblin because why would I be believing it for. You can believe in what ever you want too. You can type anything you want by man, neverthless God's bible rule over anything man can write or have made. In reality Your question is not so understandable and what is your created purple hobgoblen. If it is something you want to replace with the bible then you have lost me.

You need to bring your angry down some...I do not believe in organize religion but I do have my faith. The reason is because of my life experiences I have had. I felt just like you years ago.I am glad I kept my mind open and observed how things went in my life. Thats when I knew there was a god and thats when I started getting close to him. Thats why it's called faith.Remember this, that the way nature, humans, planets all work in harmonium should make u think. Well maybe there is something..Plus I don't want u to believe in my god. I want u to be happy in whatever u believe in.

What more evidence do you need other than the fact you are living in a world where scientifically, the only answer to the theory of life is a creator.
Honestly, no other theory, other than a creator explains EVERY aspect of life, of the universe and human understanding.

There is more to it than just the Bible. Look around you..it all came from somewhere. We all have a purpose on this earth...like I said, there is more to it..it is a personal relationship with God..to know that He is exactly who He said He is..period.
