I have a female dog who does this. She is not spayed yet though. Yet I said. But no a female dog can not make a mess. But yes they like to hump to. And there is nothing wrong with that. Most dogs do it just because it is a sign of dominance. Its better than fighting i guess.

I know male dogs can create a mess. I never heard of a female dog with a humping reflex.

i am not sure, but humping an a dog that has been fixed is usually a sign of dominance, but why would a dog try to show dominance over a pillow??? hmmmm I think I would ask the vet.

Since female dogs have no external genetalia, I doubt it. However, get them to check her belly. She might be trying to scratch or rub cause she's uncomfortable.

One of her nipples may be infected or impacted.
