I don't think it's the fact that she's a christian is the reason that makes her that mean, It's just her odd-ball belief's. Christian's and non Christians are all sinners, it shouldn't make a difference.
If your niece could only see people that aren't sinners, she would not be able to leave her room, we are all sinners. Christians have just asked god to forgive them of their sins. And he has because his son Jesus Christ died on the cross for each of us.
And keep in mind that christian or not, all can be bad people.

Christians are not mean they just have a mean belief system. If you dont agree with them you go to hell. I am a very kind person and rarely do anything mean to anyone. Sometimes I like to make christians look me in the eyes and tell me that I DESERVE to go to hell. That causes quite the internal struggle.

Sounds phoney to me. The Christians are not mean. Quite opposite. I think you've read the wrong story. Try again.

Sounds like mom needs to be reminded Judge not , lest ye be judged. And love the sinner , not the sin.

Ok, not sure exactly what your question is, but Christians are not mean. However Mothers can be concerned about bad influences on their children.

she is afraid of the enfluence of this supposed sinner on her daughter - some people are too protective than trusting in the
