Tell her to enjoy the next 5 years because after you turn 18 she has no say in what you do. Ask her to compromise with you, listen to what she has to say and ask her to listen to you. Your points are that she can only control your dating until you are 18, not 26. Advise her that 18 is when you will be going off to college and should be studying, and if you haven't been able to date until then, you will go boy-crazy and end up flunking out. If she allows you to date while you are 16 and 17 under her terms it will be less of a releasing the hounds kind of situation. Lastly, does he expect that you will not resent her being so strict with you? Will you forget all the missed opportunities with boys you liked because she didn't trust you with them? She does have final say for the next 5 years so I would be as careful as can be when discussing this with her. Respect her opinion and be mature when stating your side of things.

Your mother sounds like she wants the best for you but certainly seems like she's gone a little overboard into the point of being unreasonable.
It could be she's exaggerating but after you're 18, you can legally make whatever decisions you want. But be warned, until you are financially independent, you're still dependent on your parents till you get on your feet.
Right now, you need to prove to your mother that you ARE responsible. Part of that is listening to her for now and learning how to protect yourself from boys and pregnancy and learning how to make good critical judgements.
You are 13 right now and as much as you do not want to hear this, your mother has more experience than you do. She doesn't want you to learn the hard way but sometimes that's what it takes.

she has total control over you until you turn 18! she's not trying to be mean, she's just being a mom, she wants you to finish school, and make something of yourself, and don't want you to mess it up over a guy, cause most girls are having babies and some don't even finish school, and the others that do, it's hard for them, and she wants you to have the best life you can have.. i told my daughter she can't take until shes atleast 25, cause i want whats best for her, so it's just a mom's thing, don't get mad at her over it, just try to understand her.........

you're mom's not insane.. have you seen any of the house buying shows on TLC or BBC America? .. you come in with a low offer, she counters with a high offer, you come back with a little higher number.. eventually you meet somewhere in the middle.
wait until your 16.. she'll let you date. at 13, you're still just a little too young right now.

Your mom sounds insane. Just date guys but don't let her know about it. The day you get a license it becomes much easier and when you turn 18 do whatever the hell you want.

Are you for real? If this is a serious question, don't worry. When you 18 years old your mom will change her mind.

Unfortunately you do have to follow your parents until you are 18. Until then maybe if you continue to show her that are mature and responsible she will realize that you can handle it.
