I do not believe you heard that, I think you just made that up.
The Biblical Sabbath is on Saturday, But Jesus said that the sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath. Meaning that it does not matter when you take your Sabbath day, but we are to take one day a week and devote that day totally to God. So if you want it on Friday that go ahead and take Friday, the only thing that matters is that you take a day , the same day each week, and work on your relationship with God and nothing else.

Sabbath refers to the seventh day. So if you reason that Sunday was the first day of creation, it follows that Saturday is the seventh day; the day the Lord rested and commanded that all should honor that day. When Jesus arose from the tomb it was on Sunday. So, Christians honor Christ by observing Sunday as the Sabbath or the Lord's Day.

The Jewish Shabbat starts at sundown on Friday and end at sundown on Saturday.
The Muslim day is from Thursday at sundown till Friday at sundown.
So, who knows why the Christians chose Sunday.

The biblical answer to this question is the sabbath day is Saturday. Sabbath means rest and we only get our rest in Jesus Christ, keep him holy not a time period. Don,t get so caught up on days of the week.
