i used to be on the depo shot. I was on it for 6 months. The whole time all i did was bleed. The doctors told me that it was supposed to stop your period. Its your body. Your not used to not having a period. You should stop bleeding soon. I did not like the shot it made me crazy. One minute i was happy, the next i would wig out. I could not sleep hardly for 3 months, and then the next 3 months i was drained all the time, and i always had aches and pains. but anyway you should stop bleeding, if not call the doc.

I hear it is, although I didn't have mine for the whole time and then a year after I stopped the shot. I was on the shot for about 2 years. You need to talk to your doctor about it, and perhaps look into other birth control methods

That's the bad thing about the depo, your cycles are unpredictable. You take a risk of not having one for a while; and not properly cleansing yourself, or having too much bleeding, and possibly hemorrhaging, although hemorrhaging is very unlikely. Nonetheless, overly bleeding is normal. Don't panic, I know it's a pain in the neck, Prayerfully it will subside soon. God Bless.
