I am trying to download a chapter from the quickbook website. But after i finished, i could not open the file. I got the message saying that the system does not know to which program .qbw belongs.

Do you already have Quicken on your computer? .qbw files are recogjnized by Quicken/Quicken Quickbooks.

A .qbw file is a QuickBooks working file. You will need to open the file with a version of QuickBooks equal to or newer than the version the file was last used in. For instance, you can open a 2004 file with QB's 2006 but not the reverse. If you have QuickBooks installed, just go to File>Open Company and browse to the location of the file you downloaded.

Is this an update for quickbooks? QBW is a quickbooks file extension. It will not be recognized unless the QB program is installed.
