While States like Maryland require passenger vehicles to have front and rear license plates, others (e.g., Florida and Georgia) don't. Does your State (hoping to get responses from the other 47) require front and rear, or only rear.

In the United States, 19 states do not require an official front license plate

These include being Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia and Puerto Rico.

florida only requires the rear, while i know that penn,ny virginia and all new england states as well as conn require front and rear.
