I think it can happen, but from what I know of Wicca, it requires quite alot on your end. By this I mean, you need to put the research into it to determine if its your path or not. I believe that there are people who are meant for that path, but you need to find out for yourself if you're one of those people. So google wicca, google druidism, google paganism, and see what you find. Find books, Silver Ravenwolf and Scott Cunningham are some well known authors. Llewellyn is a well known publishing company that publishes books of this sort. I suggest trying to find them used because there are so many books and you could spend a fortune on something you are just checking out. I think you will be drawn to things that are right for you, and you will be able to tell what is a good fit. Good luck.

Part of the believe system in many open religions is that those who will eventually come to believe them will be drawn to them. This, by implication, means that they do not need to go out recruiting or trying to convert others.
You already have the answer to how you will know which one is right for you. When you find a group that resonates to your personal beliefs, whose teachings make sense, and when it feels right to you.
The thing about the wicca-pagan spectrum is that most groups don't force a particular fixed ideology. They are more willing to allow some flexibility of practice, all based around a common theme.
So, you may not find a single tradition that fits exactly, but you may find yourself weaving together your own system out of many differnet similar systems. And most groups in the spectrum will honor your personal system, as long as it is not incompatible with their own practices. Follow your heart and use your mind, and you will find answers to your questions from within and without.

I for one don't believe there is anything wrong with having an interest in Theology. Some of the earth based Pagan beliefs are interesting. I like some of the old mysticism's but I stay true to the religion of my birth. Sometimes studying other beliefs can give you some insight on your original beliefs. You would be really surprised at how close some of these beliefs are.

How will you know which one is for you? As you do research, you will find that the traditions and teachings are almost familiar, that they ring true with your soul. You will often put the book down and think about what you've read and how it actually applies to YOUR life (not someone elses but YOURS) and you will simply KNOW that this is the right direction for you.
Don't get wrapped up in WHICH one is right because that is not what its about. Its about finding the path that is right for YOU. The destination is always the same, to find and fulfill the spiritual part of your being and to recognize and honor the Powers of the Universe, regardless of the tradition you might find to follow that path.
Its YOUR PATH. You might even find that, as you search, your path will change directions and that is ok. Its everyone's job to find their path in life. Some people are open to following their path and seeing where it leads them, and others simply want to hinder other peoples journeys by telling them that there is only one path (christianity).
Remember, however, that what you throw out into the universe will come back at you at triple dose. Throw out hate and discontent and that is what will find you. Throw out love and tolerance and kindness and THAT is what will find you.
Good Journey to you, Sister, as you find your Path in Life!
Goddess Bless you always and enjoy the Journey!

I believe its possible. I was raised in a Christian (though very open-minded) home. I never connected, or believed a word of Christianity. After research, I found that my beliefs and way of life was most in tune with Satanism, and to this day, 16 years later, I am a practicing Satanist.
If it feels right to you, or makes you feel spiritually whole in some way, by all means, do what is right for you. Find the one that makes the most sense to you, and go with it.

What do you mean, which one is right for you? If you have any idea how logic works, you would understand that some religious viewpoint is just plain RIGHT. It's true and the others aren't. Period. You should be looking for the actual truth, not whatever fits your emotions best; you aren't going to get much of anywhere if you only do what your emotions tell you and ignore logic.
So my advice is, look at all of them logically, look at all other religions logically, look at atheism and agnosticism logically, and then pick whichever one that has the most evidence going for it. And if none of them do, pick some new position that the evidence suggests to you. But the main thing to do is to get it out of your head that there is a certain religion 'for you'.

Generally you will know because a specific God or Goddess will call to you. If the God or Goddess is Celtic, you'll be drawn to research Celtic sprituality, Greek, Greek, etc.
Certain ideas will really rub you the wrong way, and then you'll know that path isn't for you. The Wiccan Rede didn't make any sense to me, and the idea of the God/Goddess duality and all God(esse)s being different faces of one didn't make a bit of sense to me (My Goddess, Eos, personally found it insulting) so I knew I wasn't Wiccan.
Keep studying and you'll find that which suits you best.

Religion doesn't find you, you find religion. For instance, you will find some of the most egotistical people in the christian church, the most perverted in the catholic church, the extremist in the muslim church, the peace wishers in the buddhist church, and the naturist in the pagean churches. Of course that's not true for all, but a general amount of people fit those descriptions.
Wiccan, Pageans, Celtic, etc typically have their good and bad people. Just like any church. But the gist of the religion surrounds itself by earth elements, herbal/pure medications, life fullfillment, etc. Basically they're all-organic religions that one must have an interest and faith in for it to be affective. There is nothing wrong with that.

I don't necessarily agree with that. I think in some instances it might happen that way, but I sought it out. I studied alot of religions before becoming Wiccan and it was because I sought it out. I went and found material and read it. I went looking for other Wiccans. This is all pre internet. So it wasn't as easy as it sounds especially in a small midwestern town.
