I stopped taking paxil about a week ago - Im waiting for somting to happen. does this mean I dont need to take it anymore? i have only been taking it sence Janauary. I was just told that you cant just quit taking it all of a sudden
like I did so far I feel fine

I cold turkeyed off paxil twice, and both times it was instantly unbearable. Symptoms could pop up in the future, but most likely your doctors will tell you your "original condition" is back and you must go back on paxil. If you haven't felt anything yet, you may just be in the lucky 33% that don't have withdrawal.

u shouldn't stop taking it unless u're under a doc's supervision. symptoms don't show up til about a month later, then they steadily get worse than they were b4. u should've talked to ur doc b4 doing this cause after u've been off it awhile & ur symptoms return, u're going to have to use a higher dosage.

I was on it years ago and quit cold turkey - I had no effects, none, and am medicine-free now and have been since 1999. God is good. :)

if u don't have any immediate symptoms lucky you but you might notice in about a month when all of the serotonin is gone that u need it.

It is better to gradually quit the med.
