Why couldn't it have been a highly-evolved advanced race of natural beings from somewhere in the universe who decided to help Earth along by starting the process and including the design? The design is not perfect; there are things, for example, in humans like earlobes, appendixes and tailbones which don't make any sense. There are other things like that in nature as well. I think the idea that it was beings from another galaxy or parallel universe is at least as plausible as a supernatural being.

Okay, I totally agree that there is no need for an "intelligent designer." I was trying to show that there is no need for a supernatural being to have created the universe. Perhaps I could have said it better...for that I'm sorry. Sorry, but God is supernatural IMHO.

It doesn't. Inherently, the Intelligent Design model does not say who or what did the designing.

Wil McCarthy wrote a great article on this topic in Sci-Fi Weekly (link below). Essentially, the argument is that Intelligent Design could be a valid theory, but only when it can answer some foundational questions about how it works. Who were/are the designers? How does the process work? Show us an example of the process in action. Repeat the process under controlled conditions. These are the requirements for science. And these are the requirements that ID proponents have not yet satisfied.

"Intelligent Design" not only makes claims about biological organisms, but about the universe in general. So your aliens would be part of the design, not an explanation for it. The problem is "intelligent Design" barely meets the standard of offering an informed critique of Evolutionary science, much less any standard of being an actual theory of its own. Most of it's positions indicate a poor grasp of logic, both pure and mathematical. Therefore the term "Intelligent Design" does not even describe itself, much less anything else.

Yes, but who intelligently designed that other highly evolved race of natural beings? Another even more highly evolved race of natural beings? That either leads to an infinite regression, or it leads you to conclude that there must be a God that always existed.

If instead you believe that complexity can naturally arise out of simplicity, then you don't to make any assumption about an intelligent designer.

because there could not be a highly evolved race of natural beings from somewhere in the universe who designed this universe that's impossible, the creation account leaves a lot to be desired in terms of how the universe began, personally i think the universe is eternal and all science is trying to understand the universe in it present condition missing the fact that its in constant flux and continually changing, understand the nature of the of the observable universe and notice that all observations are looking only as far as telescope allows, not an observation of the complete condition of existence

Sorry... Occam's Razor slices and dices both intelligent aliens and a supernatural creator. There is no compelling reason to think that far-fetched explanations are necessary. So far, it appears that there are natural explanations for natural things... even if we do not know them all, yet.

what is wrong in what we have been told by almighty God.
Doesn't it stand to reason that an intelligent creator would try to communicate to intelligent beings as much as they can understand?
Human beings are always trying to come up with some solution to explain what they don't understand.
There is going to come a day when some person is going to show you how he created you, and you will be relieved to beleive him, so that you don't have to beleive God.
People were relieved to come up with ufo's and flying saucers.
Wow! What a great idea, now we don't have to beleive in God!

Since the system functions perfectly maintaining balance and harmony without chaotic patterns it is magnificent. . . And God is not Supernatural... if he was he would talk to us, walk with us, come as God instead of man.. He has a HOLY nature, it has nothing to do with matter as we see it or interact with it.. he is not a being! A being is finite...

Well my dear,
It is a supernatural being that causes you to ask such a silly question. Behind your god.......(your intellect) is a supernatural being.
You dont know this because you are blinded by your god:)

this is actually what Crick believed of the team that won the nobel prize for th ediscovery of the double helix structure of DNA... they observed DNA was so unbelievably complex that we must have been "seeded" from a higher intelligence...

the problem? who made the aliens

in the end... it still leads to God
