The British military has reported 117 deaths as of Sept. 6, 2006. I am a U.S. Marine and have served twice with British units in Iraq. Those losses are felt just as much as are the U.S. losses. An ocean may separate us, but our honor and ideals are the same. The death of any of our brothers-in-arms is never forgotten. To all of the families who have suffered and lost, my sympathies are with them.

I do not know how many British soldiers have been killed and I am British. Iraq was not started by 9/11, but by George Bush and Tony Blair claiming to have found weapons of mass destruction. Still waiting to see them. More soldiers have been killed in Iraq though.

Dont know but i do know that we wont defeat them because if you kill 100 of them theres another 100 ready to fight,The Russians couldnt beat them when they invaded in 1979, they left 11 years later war weary and 50,000 dead troops, so i cant see us doing any better even with all our firepower but if we leave it will just become another breeding ground for terrorists plus 90% of the worlds heroin comes from Afghanistan so i am not sure what the solution is and i will bet the poiticians dont niether

it is ALWAYS in the news when a British soldier gets killed. YES WE CARE! our media is actually reporting a great deal from iraq and afghanistan, have you ever heard the term, "liberal media" bush and his cronies think they report too much and only highlight the negative stories.

I have never heard that information broadly reported over the news. If an incident happens, usually a brief account of the incident is given, but with not much attention as for the American soldiers.

I know it a war that shouldn't be happened and it makes me mad because no they don't often enough tell us how many other soldiers die but they make a big deal out of how many we lose but in my opp ion we shouldn't be over there in the first places to many innocents are dying for nothing at all.

I should imagine the information is out there. Each country pays more attention to it's own fatalities, it's fair enough. I should imagine they know how many Brits have been killed in Afghanistan, because the majority were killed in 'friendly fire'.

Yes, and we are very appreciative of the sacrifices your country has made fighting the war on terror. The liberals in America tend to downplay the importance of your efforts in an attempt to cast Bush in a bad light.

They don't talk about your losses. They don't even accurately report our own. All they have to do is report one out of every 4 or 5 and that keeps the media in plenty of blood and guts. Every once and awhile we'll hear about Canadian losses (especially if you're from the northern states)
The profits continue to flow for Halliburton and the defense contractors so I'm afraid we're going to be killing (and being killed)for awhile.
