Christianity to Buddhism
This quote, finally, a religion that does not need blind faith:
"Believe nothing.
No matter where you read it,
Or who said it,
Even if I have said it,
Unless it agrees with your own reason
And your own common sense"

I was raised Baptist and I converted to Catholic when I was 18 (25 yrs ago) but now I would say I am still a believer with independent thought rather than an organized religion. I changed my mind because I didn't like the "rules" or the exclusion of people and the hypocrites!

I started out Catholic, left Catholicism at 16, did the Wicca/Goth thing till I was 20, got into Buddhism and Zen and varius New Age things... stayed with that until I was 26 and felt God calling me back to Him... I was saved at 27 and I am now 30. So I guess I converted more than once.

I was raised in a Nazarene church. When I was I found a faith that actually stayed true to the Bible and Jesus' word. So I converted from "religion" to being a christian. There is a huge difference between the two.

I was raised Mormon, but it never really felt right to me and I left as soon as I was old enough not to be dragged to church by my parents. I've never attended another church since then. I've considered myself agnostic and have toyed with the idea of being an athiest, but that didn't feel right either. One day in a used bookstore, I found the book "When God Was a Woman" by Merlin Stone. I've been learning about the Goddess ever since and I'm attracted to nature religions, but still haven't found the right one.

I was raised a Christian, and could not accept the fact that G-d came to earth in human form. G-d is G-d. G-d is One.
I have always been very interested in the history and cultures of the Mid-east. From this, I found Judaism and am just where I should be.

I have never had a religion because neither of my parents are religious. Because of this, I believe, I am able to look at all of them through the same skeptical eyes. I want to have faith so badly sometimes, but I just haven't found a religion that corresponds with my beliefs... poo.

I had made a mess of my life, and knew i needed a different way to live. I started putting the Bible to the test....applying Biblical principles to my life and saw that they worked. I kept drawing closer to Christ and the closer I got the more blessed my life became, even through the hard times I could see God's hand at work. For 20 years now I've followed Jesus Christ, and wouldn't trade this life for any other.

Used to not believe there even was a God. Eventually I really wanted to know so in earnest I asked and He answered. Then I wanted to be His friend so I read about Him and talk to Him every chance I think of it. I have the sneaking suspition that there are christian leaders who are fooling their congregations into doing really bad stuff like suporting merchant type governing parties.
