This movie has Rush Limbugh, and some hardcore radical republican hands behind it. Comon boys and girls - this is just a movie - dont take it seriously (ABC is saying its a ficticious - its a lie, in other word) - No matter what - Harry Potter is our next president. So the question is Would you watch? Yes or No>>>

I like Zelduh's explanation better than anybody so far. She has articulated here like a pro. She is the one deserve my vote for best answer. But I still like my other choice too.

"It's just a movie???"
Before the "advance copies" of the DVDs were shipped out to conservative groups (no Democratic groups received advance copies), ABC advertised it as an "important historical docudrama, based on the '9/11 Commission Report'."
Scholastic (the children’s educational publishing company that provided books we all used in high school) created a high school classroom discussion guide for teachers to use in their HISTORY classes.
However, some conservatives, who watched the "advance copies" of the DVDs leaked to the Democrats that a bunch of stuff was 'made up' to support the Christian Right Wing Agenda against Clinton - in fact, they laid the blame for 9/11 and al Qaeda on Clinton. (In other words, the video was full of lies.)
After this was found out, Liberal groups complained (loudly) and several political leaders threatened to sue for defamation. ABC took the so-called "docudrama" back to the editing room to remove only the parts for which they think they can be sued (but there is still a lot wrong with it.)
Last Thursday, Scholastic actually changed its classroom discussion guide.
The new guide clearly states that Scholastic had no involvement with developing the ABC docudrama, and that the company is not promoting the program, but that the program can provide a springboard to discussion about the issues leading up to 9/11, terrorism and the Middle East. The guide will focus on three issues:
1. Media Literacy - what is a 'docudrama;' how does it differ from a 'DOCUMENTARY;' what are the differences between factual reporting and a dramatization?
2. Background to 9/11 - what are some of the causes of unrest in the Middle East and other parts of the world that give rise to attacks on the U.S. and other countries?
3. Geography and Culture -- there is a long history of conflict in the Middle East. How well do students understand each of the countries involved and what influences their behavior?
Now, Republicans argue that this is suppression of "free speech." But the bottom line is:
YOU CANNOT REWRITE HISTORY AND THEN ARGUE THAT IT IS "FREE SPEECH."
The country's emotional wounds from 9/11 have not yet healed. We all watched in horror as 3,000 of our friends and family members died in the World Trade Center.
Thousands of New Yorkers witnessed, first-hand, AMERICAN citizens jumping out of upper floors of the WTC to their DEATHS! New York's skyline has unalterably changed.
To use such a painful event in recent American history FOR POLITICAL GAIN, RIGHT BEFORE THE NOVEMBER ELECTION - - and call it "historical" -- is rather reprehensible. Worse, it is an insult to the memories of those who died, to all those New Yorkers who bore witness to the REAL attrocity of 9/11.
Nothing is sacred to the Republican party - if they can use it to manipulate the voting public to live in fear - and to make the mistake of voting for Republicans (again).

Rush Limbaugh (you misspelled his name) had nothing to do with the production of 'The path to 9/11'. ABC stated it is a dramatic representation of events. This if far from saying it is a lie. I am currently watching and taping the show. If it is ';just a movie' why does William Jefferson Clinton take it so seriously?
zelduh said no Democrats received advance DVDs. The advance screening, which only covered one of the two nights, was shown to a group equally split between Democrats and Republicans.

No I have been staying away from all the 9/11 stuff. It was hard enough to live threw it the first time why keep reliving it over and over. I do not forget that it happened nor will I and when my kids ask about it I will go into it then. But I do not think it is mentally healthy to keep putting ourself's threw it. It is time to start recoverying from it and learning from it so that it does not happen again.
How many times do we have to see the plane go threw the building to learn from it.

It is a MAJOR shame that people are making money off of "dramatizing" one of the most dramatic days of our history. Is the truth not interesting enough?
(although I don't know why I am answering since you already have "given" the best answer)

If ABC can't be bothered to fact check a movie it's producing about a critical event in American history, then I can't be bothered to watch.
