You should measure your fitness by how your clothes fit and feel. The scale is not always a good indicator of fat loss.
Muscle weighs more than fat. If you're working out and especially weight lifting, the scale won't show how much fat you're losing. Buy some calipers which will measure your actual body fat. Or, just use a tape measure to help you keep track of all over body measurements.

Depends. If you are hardcore into your work out, it means its muscle, and no! don't give up! If you are doing 10 minutes every other day and eating alot, it wont be helping much (not to discourage-- I've been through the same thing). If you are really dedicated, you will get back on the treadmill and run! I find if you put a tv of DVD player in front of you and watch or listen to music, that keeps me from noticing I'm doing it. Good luck and remember that everyone has they're own shape so don't take it for granted.

This happens to everyone who tries to diet and/or workout. What happens is that the body has a built-in gauge within it in your brain that sees that you are eating less calories than you burn up, so it sends signals to your cells that you need more food. If you don't get discouraged and give up, then, eventually, you will begin losing weight. Your body attempts to keep you at the same weight by burning up stored fat in your body. When that is gone, you have to increase your calorie intake or your body will begin eating up its muscle tissue. Once you have gotten past that hard first stage, you can increase your calories to keep your body at its new weight.

In order to get the most out of a treadmill, YOU MUST use it for at least 45 minutes per session. If you use it with a brisk walking pace (or running pace) you WILL lose up to 7 pounds a week.
Keep in mind, 3500 calories = 1 Pound.
It takes a LONG TIME to burn 1000 calories.

Muscle weight 3x as much as fat! Take your measurements and watch your food intake. I would do atleast 25 minutes of cardio 4x a week and don't go on the scale more than once a month, it can bring you down. Go more by your clothes and how they fit and how you look. Good luck!

I accept as true with Jason, boost your weight lifting, do no longer shrink. cardio is nice to do to boot, so which you do no longer would desire to provide that up, yet try increasing a number of your lifting to make certain the place that takes you. additionally, in case you do cardio try shorter, extra extreme workouts. you're appropriate in that muscle weight weighs extra, so which you will see some boost from that on a similar time as you shrink bodyfat. So, in my opinion, scales are a foul indicator of universal well-being. issues like seeing how your clothing fit or perhaps going ot the first practitioner for a bodyfat analysis are the main suitable techniques. and you will desire to be ingesting extra generally than that, ideally 5-6 cases an afternoon as your physique is going into "starvation mode" and actual keeps capability you address as fat. additionally, ingesting extra generally keeps your metabolism and blood sugar up so which you do no longer sense as hungry and your physique burns energy extra effectively. of course, you will would desire to deal with fewer energy according to meal in case you are trying this. sturdy success!

Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are concerned, get a scale that weighs percentage of body fat, too; that way, you can tell if you're gaining weight by adding muscle (which, by the way, will help you get rid of even more fat).

You might have been looking at an increase in muscle mass: Muscle is, after all, denser than fat.
Keep working out: You might like what you see, even if you don't lose the weight.
Good luck!

Maybe you're eating more? Your weight shouldn't go up really, if your output is more than your input, then you lose. It sounds like when you exercise you may be eating more and so gain weight. When you do exercise you will be hungrier, but the foods need to be healthy.
