If your pet (cat or dog) was in a burning building along with a murderer who brutally killed 10 people (You know this because it has been all over the news). You only have time to save ONE. The murderer needs help, because of a broken foot. Your pet is confused and doesn't know the way out. Would you save your pet or the murderer?

I would save my dog! This may seem cruel (an animal over human life) to some but why would I save someones life who obviously had no respect for human life themselves? My dog has always loved me, kept me company and been my best little buddy since I got her! I would save my dog no questions asked!

If I were in a burning building and my foot was broken, I think I would still be able to make it out so I figure the murderer would still be able to at least try to crawl out.

If my dogs or cats were inside a burning building and couldnt get out, I would help them because they are animals and are my responsibility.

What goes around comes around. The universe has a way of keeping the balance and a murderer caught in a burning building is just nature's way of evening the balance of life and death.

Harsh but true.

Goddess Bless Everyone...even the murderer, may he go up like an oil soaked torch!

I save my dog. Even if the guy was someone I didn't know to be a bad person, and just a random stranger. A little more than two years ago I had an option, go into veterinary medicine or go into human medicine. I chose vet med because dogs are beings are love and most people, quite frankly, are not. A dog will never do anything to harm his master, he will lay down his life to protect even those who abuse him. Where people are concerned, so many are filled with hate, distrust, evil intentions, greed, jealousy... My brother is a doctor (Actually he's a DO and still doing his residency, but anyway...) and I could never save anyone I knew to be a bad person. Gangbanger arrives with multiple gun shot wounds; I couldn't help him, knowing he is going to go out and shoot someone else if I do. But according to the AMA you have to... Child molester comes in, not only could I not force myself to help him in any way, I would find myself very tempted to castrate him and end the misery he invokes in innocent children...

I chose animals because they don't know the meaning of hate, only love.

But if I knew it was a murderer I would do something bad... you can get out of a burning building with a broken foot...

I would save my dog because I love my dogs and the murderer is going to burn in hell anyway so he might as well get a taste of it now and if I saved the murderer he would probably get a lawyer and be set free

Pet, because I wouldn't be able to carry the man....but maybe if the man wasn't a murderer but a good friend I might find a way to drag him out while he holds onto the pet.

Absolutely the pet! Even if it was someone else's pet. Why save the murdered so he could kill again, maybe kill me after I saved him.

Even though human life is valuable. I would definitely save the pet, because whose to say that the murderer won't murder again/

My pet is considered as my baby.... I think I'd save my baby. If he's a murderer I believe it serves him right to die. Sorry, but he doesn't have the right to take a life thats not his own. Sure he deserves a second chance... in the next life. Call me cold hearted.

My pet! In most hosueholds, your pets do so much for you even though you may not know it and they deffinately should live.
The murder on the other hand...killed 10 people almost out of no reason and it's probablly better for the guy to die in there 'cause even if you do rescue him he'd be put into jail and most likely get executed.

That's easy.My pet would come before ANY human. But if time allowed or I could figure a way to save both at the same time I would do so.
Death by fire is a horrible way to go and I'd not wish it on anyone.
