I was told to eliminate all sugar, dairy, salt, amd caffiene from my diet a week ago and not only does that really eliminate almost anything that tastes good, I feel like CRAP!! Im tired all the time, grumpy, I have a wicked headache plus digestive issues. How can eating healthy make you feel worse?

I think that your body is not use to digesting healthy foods. when I first started eating healthy I thought I was dying when I ate raw broccolli I had bad cramps. Also you might be a little constipated for a while but your body will get use to it and you will be fine.

Okay. First off. That is retarded. You need sugar, dairy, and salt. Maybe not a lot of caffiene though. When I quit drinking coffee I had migranes for a week because my body wanted it, it is just like a drug. As for the other stuff, just take it in moderation. I am perfectly fit and I eat all of the above in my diet. Except, I don't put salt on my food, if there is some sodium in my food then that is okay. Here is what I eat. I am healthy and I have more energy than ever.

Proteins: Salmon, Chicken Breasts, Lean Ground Turkey, Halibut, Veggie Burgers, Tofu, Sliced Turkey Breast, Egg Whites.

Carbohydrates: Apples, Bananas, Blueberries, Strawberries, Raspberries, Pineapple, Celery, Broccoli, Asparagus, Green Beans,Carrots, Romaine Salad, Sweet Potatoes, Steel Cut Oatmeal, Whole Grain Bread, Soy Milk, Fat Free Milk.

Fats: Avacado, Raw Almonds, Raw Walnuts, Organic Peanut Butter, Balsalmic Vinagertte dressing.

Just eat real food and not bagged/boxed/frozen dinners.
You'll be fine. P.S. - Why and Who told you to eat this way?
OH YEAH. DRINK LOTS OF WATER. Half your weight but in oz.

Unless you have a problem with dairy, you shouldn't eliminate it from your diet. (It's the best source of calcium -- other sources usually have a form of calcium that your body can't brwak down to get to and use.) You NEED some salt -- it is essential for nerves to fuunction properly. Most people get this from not enough potassium, which we usually don't eat enough of, but you canget it from not enough sodium, or an imballance of the two, as well. And if you've had a lot of caffeine in your diet up until now, you're probably going through withdrawal; caffeine can get stored in fat cells, and especially in women, it can take as much as two weeks for it to get out of your system once you stop using it. (I'm not opposed to a bit of caffiene, BTW -- I don't think it is the evil substance that some people say it is -- but it can cause problems if overused, and just about everyone who uses much gets withdrawal after they stop.) If you don't want to eat processed sugar, try fruit. It's still sweet, but better for you than sugary stuff like cookies.

ANY drastic change in diet can, and probably will, give you 'digestive issues' for a while as your body adjusts.
