if you drink it after its a chaser. not sure what you call something you eat i think it would be a garnish like the lime after a tequilla shot would be a garnish i guess as its usually stuck on the glass when they give it to you

In Yugoslavia it is called "meza"....
a shot of strong alcohol...take a drink of water....eat a thin slice of smoked meat with a tiny bit of cheese, repeat 20-30 times.
