Firstly, i find it ironic that a former convent is now an Islamic school.
Secondly, I find it very unusual that a massive building has only 12 pupils. There is definitely a whiff of suspicion about that.
But if you think, it makes the hiding place for any illegal activities. The place is not only big, but there are probably hidden passages and secret rooms, where things could easily be concealed, out of the sight of ordinary people. The police have an impossible/enormous task ahead of them.
I also find the idea of an unregulated school like this disturbing. Not only is there a risk of extremist teachings, the quality of teaching at the school has also come under fire, with complaints of few textbooks among them.

I'm a British citizen and a Muslim, is it OK if I answer?

I think that the building might have been going cheap and they purchased it with good intentions thinking that they could turn it in to a school of excellence.

Obviously they didn't have the resources to do that, and there are probably not that many Muslim families living anywhere close to it which is why they have a really low turnout.

when you are dealing with counter terrorism you have to take for granted that plotters will use all and any means to attack their targets,so will need places to teach and train their methods and, indeed store their munitions and plans, what better place than a school, as for the size of this school that makes it harder to find evidence, and old building such as this will have any number of hidden passages and hiding places so, has to be searched inch by inch inside and out, it has to be done, it is a huge task and shows just how far the security service will go to root out these people, makes you wonder what will be next

Schools are large, This is a school that caters for a different market to the standard school. I am happy with this school as it represents the freedom we have in the UK, this school would not funtion in france or germany as they do not have these freedoms.
I know a school in france that was shut down for not conforming to local government rules. A lot of teachers went to prison while protesting, after a year fighting with the authorities the school was allowed to carry on.
The Parents have now £100,000 fines each for their efforts!
The same type of school in uk has been running for years in nearly complete freedom.
This school to me is hope and justice of the UK system which is closely related to the US system,

Well we invited them in and they are biting the hand that fed them. It is a shame that a school is being searched but the Police would not act in this way unless they had too. The old idea of the Police being Bullies is soooooooooo 20th century. They are here to keep Law and order.

Think in what way?
That it constitutes a huge threat to our safety and that its clearly a breeding ground for more domestic suicide bombers?

I have a problem with religion as a basis of politics or education. ie religious states or exclusionary schools. we have had this in the UK before but C of E and Catholic basically. Does that make it right?

England fought a Civil War and deposed its King in order to maintain its freedom.
Such freedom will be maintained by those who cherish their history.
Those who wish ill to this country, should remember this. If they are not happy living here, they are faced with a choice to live in another country where they can do as they are done by.

If you put all separate religious schools together by category it would be minute.
Incidentally I have come across more religious zealots from middle class christian families than any other. So what do you see as ordinary.
