If you intend on sleeping during your travels, won't you smear it on pillows etc? Dark red lipstick looks nice though. But if it's potentially gonna ruin your good looks, then don't.

where r u going too? when travelling it always more comfortable to have a gloss instead of lipstick. it keeps ur lips moisterized. if u wanna attarct attention then wear a dark color otherwise just be suttle

I think it would be fine, unless of course, you are traveling on a camel through the middle east, in which case you would want to tone it down a little.

Personally, I don't like dark lipstick, so no. I guess its something personal, don't let it bother you.
