We found our dog dead last night on the edge of our property. He is pretty hidden. He is a big dog. He is very rancid and we don't know what to do with him. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, we have no animal control and it's not illegal to burn or bury it but we can't stand the smell.

Call your local veterinarian and see if they have a burial place or can recommend a pet cemetery. You may be able to bury it on your property, check with your local authority regarding laws or with the Department of Environmental Protection. Very sorry for your loss! The funeral process may be beneficial in your grief process. Peace be with you!

Oh dear!

Hmm- perhaps wrapping him in a sheet and burying him in a very deep hole? And make sure to put plenty of lime on him to control the odor.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

The best bet would be to contact your local animal control office. If they do not have a removal service, they should be able to put you in touch with someone who does. There will most likely be a signifigant but not unreasonable fee.

My condolences.

the right way is to bury them. no longer throw them interior the garbage or on the factor of the line. i'm no longer asserting that's what you may do, yet some people do. in case you do no longer prefer to bury the puppy then you certainly can take it to the close by vetenarian place of work and that they're going to get rid of the physique for a value.

Get a shovel, dig a whole in the ground. Then use the shovel to lift carcass into the whole. Cover with the dirt. Solemn occasion. My sympathies are with you.

Call animal control. They'll remove it. I found a dead dog while hiking one day and called them. It took a couple days for the lazy bastards to get around to picking it up, but eventually they did.

You have to take it to a vet or animal control, it's illegal to dispose of it yourself.

well if you own the land bury him. if not the local landfill will have options and so will a local vetrinarian or animal control.
