In my office they are the same price $965. Insurance will never pay for veneers as they are considered cosmetic, but if their is a " dental need" for a crown ( decay, fracture etc.) then most ins. co. will possibly cover 40 to 80 % of the cost. the restorations can last 10-20 yrs with good oral hygiene and reg. dental check ups. I think veneers have gotten a bad rap with all the new technology their are different types of porcelains that are Very strong and the bonding strength of today's cements are unbelievable

In my office, they cost the same thing. Veneers are harder to do properly than a crown and the lab fe is at least as much as the fee for a crown.
When done PROPERLY, a veneer could last about the same as a crown, but we don't know that for sure yet. They have only been in general use for maybe 20 years and modern crowns have been around for a hundred or more years.

Crowns will last longer. Depending on if you have insurance and what type of insurance will depend on how much you will have to pay for them.
