Ok, don't laugh. And don't tell me to go brush my teeth, this is embarrassing enough. Helpful hints only please.

I have had halitosis since I was about 6 I think. Basically as long as I can remember. No one has really helped me with it, and even when I go to the dentist they just tell me to brush after meals, before bedtime, floss, rinse, etc. I've been doing all these things with no improvement. Mostly people just laugh. And no I don't smoke, I do stay away from coffee, onoins, spicy foods, etc.... I've been brushing with baking soda, no help, I've bought kits from the internet and special tounge scrapers, gums, mints, mechanical toothbrushes, toothpastes, all no help. There are other people with this problem, I'm sure I'm not the only one, but no one ever talks about it. I need to know what I'm missing. Is there a cure for this? Or maybe something simple I haven't tryed yet? Do any of you have this problem, or know of anyone who does, but manages to keep it in check?

Acid on the stomach?

Try taking Acidophilus. You can get it at a health food store or even at Walmart or Target. It's a probiotic and adds "good bacteria" to your system to counteract the bad bacteria.

I agree with Jennifer, since you are doing so many things to try to solve the problem, It seems like it would be a good idea to take acidophiles every day (they have flavored chewable). Eating yogurt would help your stomach also. You may really have some sort of a digestion problem.

How is your weight? Lately I've been reading so much about colon cleansing and the good it can do for your health. I have done it and cleared up newly acquired allergies. So it's something to consider.

For your mouth let me suggest brushing and swishing your mouth with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide morning and evening. It bubbles under your gum lines and heals any gum problems you might have. Odor in the mouth usually comes from unhealthy gums, so my guess is you need a new dentist.
You probably have infected gums and even one root infected will cause "realllly" bad breath.

The hydrogen peroxide (is inexpensive and comes from the drug store) idea comes from my dentist and I have been using it for 40 years and have extremely healthy gums.

GOOD LUCK!

Put a Clove in mouth and slowly suck (don't chew) like a candy, and hold the saliva in mouth for a minute or two before gulping it down. Continue the process until you find the clove has softened to pulp. If you have any problem in the oral region you will feel some sensitivity or burning. If so, tell your dentist (or periodontist) to check on that area. If not, repeat the act only twice a week. Your stomach/intestines will also benefit. This natural therapy is no hiderance to other therapies you may wish/adviced to follow. Happy exhaling sexy aroma soon!

Try brushing behind the back teeth! Also, try leaving the mouth wash in your mouth for more than twenty second. You might even try to change your tooth paste to the Crest Pro toothpaste and mouth wash. I also think that your stomach could be holding a lot of your problems. Maybe you should look into cleansing your colon. If you want try using some vitamins with A and E. Some fruits with antioxidants in it, as well as vegetables ( blueberries and broccoli). You are not the only person with this problem. I wish you luck.

Reg. check ups are key here. Also try Breath RX (available at wallgreens drug store or at the dentist) Brushing the toung will also help. Baking soda once a month is ok but may not be real good for everyday. change your brush more often every 2 or 3 weeks in stead of once a month.
