Can anyone translate the name Dan into greek?

The name is basically the same (if you substituted the equivalent characters it would look exactly the same as the English).

I assumed you meant the full form of the name (i.e., Daniel), though if you want the shortened version, it would simply be Δαν

Δανιηλ is the greek translation to Dan and it is pronounced Thaniil. There is no such name as Δαν in Greek. Δανιηλ(Thaniil) is Daniel however.

I tried the following site (it's usually very reliable) but was not able to find a Greek name relationg to Dan. but I wasn't able to find my grandma's name either and she was 100% Greek. http://www.behindthename.com/
