Jesus was a practising Jew. He did not intend to start a new religion. He said he was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel, why did Paul then go to the Pagans? He said that the Jewish law should be dropped so that it didnt turn off the Pagans, was this not a mistake?

Paul did not start Christianity Jesus did that is why it is named after him Jesus Christ and his followers are called Christians Acts 11 : 26 also the vast majority of the people of his day rejected him as the Messiah and its religious leaders conspired to kill him so when Jesus fullfilled the Mosaic Law covenant he instituted a new Covenant and becausethey rejected him his Father rejected them as Luke 13 :34,35 tells us Paul was an Apostle to the Nations to spread the Good News Mentioned in Matt 24:14 , 28:19,20 and Jesus as head of the Christian congregation and no man was ever Given primacy but a group of older men inluding the Apostles made decissions never one man as Acts Ch 15 brings out there was a controversy going around about circumcission were Christians bound by the Jewish Law on Circumcission and notice they didnt ask peter to sole the problem bu as it has always been down to this day from then on in vs 22-30 it was handled by a body of older men and the Apostles and then when they had discussed the matter and prayed about it they announced their decision to the congregations by the hand of chose ones hope this clears up some popular misconceptions Gorbalizer

Paul taught that one did not have to first become a Jew in order to follow the Jewish Messiah. Since the laws of Judaism are symbols of the yet-to-come Messiah they are no longer needed once that Messiah appears. In fact it would be wrong to insist on following the 613 laws after Messiah. One can choose to follow the laws voluntarily but after Messiah they are only suggestions anyway.

If a traffic light replaces a stop sign how smoothly will traffic move if some insist to obey the past stop sign and others obey the traffic light. Should we obey what is, not what used to be?

First of all, Gentile salvation was first revealed to Peter, not Paul. Secondly, Christ saved a few that weren't Jews even while he was here. Look up the scripture where the person said Master do not even the dogs get scraps from the Master's table.

God's love and forgiveness was to the Jews and the Gentiles. Jesus says so himself in the Bible to preach the Gospel to the Jews and Gentiles. And if you look at Peters dream with the unclean animals that God told him to eat, meant that Gentiles were no longer the unclean, but clean by Jesus' blood. I am so thankful that God is so nice to give salvation to the Gentiles too, or there would be no hope for me.

Jesus said to go and preach to all nations, Matthew 25 or 26, when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of eden they created a wall between God and man, the only way the wall could be broken was through blood, for a long time people made sacrifices, to be forgiven of their sins, but when Jesus died he payed the ultimate price so that we can have a personal relationship with Him, Paul was sent to preach to "all nations", so he went

No this was not a mistake. And Jesus commanded His disciples to go into Judea, Samaria, and unto the ends of the Earth, so Jesus said to reach ALL peoples, not just the Jews.

You do not have a clue about what you are talking about. Islam is a man made religion. You need to reject the quran and accept Jesus Christ as Lord God and Saviour.

Repent and be baptised for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Squirm, liberals, squirm.

You sound like you've been listening to some warped bible teaching.Jesus knew all along that he was sent to be crucified and be a substitute for the sin of mankind. The old testament records this numerous times as in psalms ,Isiah.Jeremiah and others.Try to do an opposing bible study next time someone gives you info like this question and you will be surprised at all the new things you find out.

Okay, Jesus said that he came to make salvation open to the Jew, and also to the Gentile. Yes, he was Jewish, and he came to save the Jews, and if all the Jewish people had seen that their own promise had been fulfilled, it wouldn't have even been a new religion, it would just have been a new phase in the same one. Don't you think he wanted people to be saved? And if silly, essentially unimportant laws were keeping them from it, why not drop them?

don't you remember that Jesus said to the Jews at Matthew23:37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her,—how often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks together under her wings! But YOU people did not want it. 38 Look! YOUR house is abandoned to YOU. 39 For I say to YOU, YOU will by no means see me from henceforth until YOU say, ‘Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah’s name!’”

The jews did not accept that Jesus was God's means for salvation, so they were rejected. Jesus or Paul did not start a new religion. The Jews had apostasised the pure worship that God had given them. Jesus came to set matters straight and fulfill the law so that the animal sacrifices (which were a tutor leading to the Christ) would be done away with.
