Yes. It's federal law, and schools that do not are breaking the law. I always used to say, "I pledge allegiance (gesture to the flag) to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Why? because the line 'under god' doesn't make sense in the context, because it's a false description of our secular democracy, and most importantly - This is how the US pledge was said during WWII and if it was good enough for us then it's good enough for us now.

Truly shocking that this has faded into a rarely practiced event, no wonder our country is being destroyed. Great question.

I think it is not being used because of the "one nation under god." thingie, however, if it was still 'in use' I wouldnt be surprised if immigrants cried about the US flag infringing on their rights some how. Ironic enough...their children are attending public schools paid for by tax dollars, their children are being taught by non-immigrants and lets just completely forget the fact that they ARE LIVING IN THE US. I'm sure they would still complain. lol We would probably have to have every flag from every country lining the walls so everyone is happy.

sure, your incorrect. You made an extremely misguided and fake assertion saying the "the government officers merely would hand some weapons over to 7 twelve months previous little ones and say you have pledged loyalty, now die on your united states of america" it extremely is the kind of inflammatory liberal diatribe meant to piss human beings off understanding it would by no potential happen. The very human beings helping that pledge and that flag does no longer enable it. it extremely is the area you look to no longer understand.

Yes, of course! It was ruled in the 1960s' that public schools can't say the Lord's Prayer in school, but it is fedreal law that you recite the Pledge at least once a week, if not every day.

Yes, I am sooo very proud to say our school system still practices the Pledge WITH "Under God"! I was so excited to know that there is still some sanity left in this world. I actually went to the first day of school with my daughter and the pledge began, I was ready to emphasize UNDER GOD had the teacher omitted it, but to my happy suprise--she did not! GOD BLESS AMERICAN AND OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS!

If not it should be! All people should support and defend their country. To include the immigrants, they want/choose to be here, so they need a adhear to our lifestyles. I know that not all cultures agee with it, but they want Americans to place value on their lifsty;les, then they should give us respect. You know that old saying, treat people the way you want to be treated. If not go home!

I challenge everyone to name 12 schools were this is done today, just one dozen schools where it can be verified.

This should be done, daily, but the socialists in america have once again taken one of our basic rights from us, Freedom of Speech.

Yep, though we did it in the school yard, along with the "Black National Anthem," and the "I AM somebody" chant. Sort of wasted about 15 to 20 minutes.

Yes... most states require it... other require that time be set aside to do it if the students and teacher want to.

What would a nation-state be without something to indoctrinate the young, after all?
