he's nice to me except for 1 time when he called me a *ag as a joke...which i didn't think was funny....at all he always says hi to me in the hall...or does something funny (such as the i'm watching you thing....where you point to your eyes and then to a person) i really like him but whenever i see him (this is really lame) i get scared of him because i don't want to act like a complete moron in front of him (even though before i liked him i could talk to him like i would talk to a guy friend) i really like him but i don't know what to do about it

yes, it is possible. but honey... i know it doesn't seem like there is a huge age difference between you and him right now, but there is. stay away from the older kids because you are going to find yourself in situations that you are not equipped yet to deal with. there really is a world of difference between 7th and 9th grade. talk to your parents or a school person that you can relate to.
the other problem with getting hooked up with older guys too is well, date rape. that can happen at your grade level too but truly there is something usually not right with a guy that is looking at younger girls. i think you need to be concerned and stay away from him even if you think he "likes" you.

I think it's acceptable for the 9th-grade boys to like the 7th-grade girls, but don't get your hopes up. Ninth-graders often believe that seventh-graders are little and young and cute. You may think he's flirting with you, while he's really just ridiculing you.

Yes. Its happened. Last year, my friend (we were in 7th grade) dated a sophomore who was a juvenile delinquent. But if hes disrespectful to you, you deserve better.

you need to relax.... if he is always acting goofy and being a moron himself, why should you worry about if your going to come off as a moron to him.... that might show that you have more in common or that you are comfortable enough around him to act like a dork.....
In ten years it isn't going to matter if they think you are a dork or not.... people change....
