Go visit the iVillage UK wedding forum and ask on there - there are a lot of people on there who have bought dresses on the internet for a fraction of the price in UK bridal shops. Several of them have recommended Cinderella's on eBay - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Cinderellas-Bridal-Shop if that helps too.

There are other places that they have recommended too, but I don't really remember what they were as I'd already bought my dress by the time I found that forum.

Hope that helps and good luck with your planning.

In my loft!!! Seriously, I do have a beautiful dress in my loft but I am sort of saving it for my daughter's wedding day. But I went for the red effect, I have dark brown hair and very pale skin and the red warmed my face up for my November wedding 10 years ago. Problem was everyone said I looked like Snow White!!!
Anywa, I just wanted to offer advice, put your red with ivory, the white looks too stark. Go have a look at dresses try on tons you like, then in January when the Bridal Shops have their last season sales, snap up a bargain - I think my £850 creation was half price? You can always pick something ivory and have a bit of red added - roses, bows whatever is the thing at the minute. Good luck have a lovely day and remember every minute, it goes so fast!

I think you should look into hireing, you can hire from most of your local wedding shops now, and that is about the only way to get the color and style you are looking for, or just find a second hand dress you like the shape and fit of and dye it over and over untill you get the right shade. keep looking on ebay.

Please try jcrew.com. I bought my dress from J. Crew for about $300 US. That would be about 200 pounds. I think it is mostly cream or white colored dresses, but with the money saved you could take it to a seamstress to add some red trim or something. Also there are some bridesmaid dresses that may be suitable in differnt colors.

try debenhams. I got mine from there when i got married in march it cost me £400 but they did have some less than that Designer ones aswell mainly pierce il fionda. Go in december time or jan they have a sale on. i got my tiara from there for £5 and matching bolero for my dess for £10 reduced from £70!
Its definatley worth looking and the team there are so friendly if they dont have your size in stock the go through all there stores to find one in your size and order it in for you they did that with me. Im a size 10 and i had to get mine delivered from london.
It was the last one they had aswell so i was very lucky.

Good luck i hope you find he perfect dress and your day was as fantastic as mine was. Its all worth the stress believe me!!!

Do you have any talented friends who would be able to make you a dress? Then you could have something really unique.

You will look beautiful in whatever you wear, enjoy your day and good luck.

HAVE A LOOK IN BRIDAL SHOPS - MOST HAVE A SALE ON AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. IM GETTING MARRIED IN TWO MONTHS AND GOT MY DRESS FOR £300. ITS STUNNING AND LOOKS A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE. I CANT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO SPEND ££££'S ON A DRESS YOU WEAR FOR ONE DAY, NO-ONE WILL ASK TO SEE THE LABEL WHEN YOUR WEARING IT. AS LONG AS IT LOOKS PERFECT.
