Could it be because you have difficulty communicating? Let's look at the grammar, punctuation, and spelling here - clear communication is an integral part of science.

By the way, English is not my first language either.

People with PHD degrees have hard times finding jobs outside of research.

That stinks, I'm starting work on my PhD. right now. The guy who posted about the communication is right. Make sure your grammar is correct, that could be a huge part of it.
