You should have a DVD burning program that came with your burner. Use it or search for some free DVD burning software.

To be dvd complient the mpeg should be mpeg2 if you are having sync problems if the movie is NTSC it should be burned as NTSC if it is Pal it should be burned as Pal that corrects the sync if you want to make a back up of the whole dvd or just the movie go to http://www.afterdawn.com and download dvd shrink 3.2.15 this will shrink the dvd to fit a standard dvd r and then auto burn the dvd using nero for you also down load cucusoft mpeg to dvd author with this you make the mpeg you have an mpeg 2 using nerovision make movie the file you then add to the programme click convert button you have a dvd also have a look round the site you will find a lot on it ,Any problems click on the link on my 360 site will take you there under rss feeds, have put some info on as blogs including what software you need for what you want to do all avaiable on same site I look forward to any comments you may wish to leave

you will need a program like RecordNow to transfer the file to a DVD without losing important data that will allow the movie to play on a DVD player, this is assuming that these files have not already been lost. DVD - R is the most compatable for home DVD players. Depending on your DVD player, you may or may not be able to play DVD + R's on it. Also - word to the wise, DVD burning is tricky and even when done with the proper program can produce "expensive coasters". I think I get about 1 dud out of 10 that I burn.

It really depends on what you want to do with the discs. If it is for archiving them only ie for playback on a computer then you just burn them like any other data file.

If you want to play them back on a standalone dvd player then you are going to have get them into dvd format which means you need dvd authoring software and once this is complete it can then be burned.

Not all dvd media will work in all standalone dvd players and it can often be a case of trial and error in order to find the brand which works best. There are some standalones that will not play any home produced dvds.
