I can't leave it curly cause when it drys it gets very frizzy and big and unmanagable and the only way it looks good is straight.

If you have bumps, you may be trying to straighten sections of hair that are too large. Try smaller sections. What products do you use? I blowdry first and then straighten. Also, when you're straightening the back, try combing your hair up so you can see it, and then putting the iron horizontally. Using it sideways can cause bumps.

Well, what helps me a lot is Sunsilk shampoo. They've got this kind called Straighten Up, it's in a purple bottle. It works better than the Herbal Essences stuff. I've used both and the Sunsilk kind does a lot more than the HE stuff. When you do that though, you've got to blowdry your hair straight with a brush. After I do that, I use my straightener to fix anything.

Straighten the back of your hair first, because thats when the straightener is the hottest. Try the Remington Wet to straight. Thats the one I use

i dont know but my friend uses this straightener called wet to straight. you can even use it on wet hair and it comes with 30 different settings. but use a gel or straightening cream so you dont burn your hair.

also, herbal expressions has a collection to help straighten hair.

clamp down on the straightener really tight and pull it down your hair. Make sure your hair isn't wet or damp when you straighten it.

the best alternative is what caramel said
