I enjoy the finer things in life. I am more apt to buy Architectural digest than playboy. I enjoy cooking. I dress impeccably and I have a manicure at almost all times. I listen to opera and classical music. I wear only the finest fragrances. I sip tea with my pinkie out. However, I am only attracted to women. Am I like half gay or something? You know, am I gay without the wanting men part?

Let's be clear : since being gay implies that as a man, you feel sexually attracted to other men, obviously you're not, so don't worry (at least, if being homosexual would be something to worry about...) Of course I don't know you nor have I ever seen you, but from what you say, I guess you're one of these persons who cares about quality and distinction, both in the way you look and behave as for your interests. For example : you mentioned classical music, that's a subject where I can speak for myself : I'm as straight as someone possibly can be, still, I'm totally in love with opera and classical music. Fine arts like this kind of music, or architecture, it's all a matter of (good) taste, how sensitive you are, etc... But I don't believe there's a direct link between good taste and homosexuality...

You could be experiencing a gender nonconformity. Some people may be influenced by hormones, while others learn characteristics that seem gender nonconformity. Gender non conformity means a child wants or identifies with being the opposite gender. Not all children that have a gender nonconformity are gay or ever become gay. Often when they experience the issue of some gender nonconformity they are questioned by peers if they are gay or even may think they may be gay. This can even cause a child to experiment with homosexual acts and then choose the lifestyle. Sometime this can happen to a small child and the child forgets the incident and thinks they was born gay. Any child can be influenced to be gay. It is all a choice, even choosing to be heterosexual. Influences add up.

No! You have fine taste, like intelligent reading to be your interest. You like to be well groomed and love music that is refined. I think your probably an old soul and not into most people's narcissistic attitudes but love deep and stirring conversation. I would lose the pinkie thing and find someone who is into the things you are. A lot of guy's think hooters is deep thinking entertainment, lol. You are a thinker and understand the difference I would get involved in some classes or people with similar interest and enjoy it!

There's nothing wrong with being re-fined or gay or both at the same time. If you like woman you are not gay and there is no half and half either you are or you aren't. If your bi (then you like men and woman) but no one can tell you if you are or not. You know your heart and you know who and what you are. Just because a man likes the finer things in life doesn't make him gay.

No, being gay doesn't have to do with your manerisms, it has to do with your sexual preferences. It sounds to me that you are a very intelligent and refined man, who enjoys looking his best, and appreciates the finer things in life. Because you choose not to waste your money on smut mags, only shows that you do not view women in a disrespectful manner. So, if you are asking if you might be gay because you don't have dirty hands,a beer belly, and wear jeans that show the crack of your a** while you guzzle down beers, and drool over some sl*t who can't keep her business to herself, then I would have to say no, you're not gay, just smarter than the average bear!

being gay or not is about your sexual prefences it has nothing to do with how your dress or act some and there is nothing wrong with a well groomed man havent you ever heard of a metro sexual man? any way if you have no intrest in a physical relationship with a man then your not gay. and i really hope this is not a serious question because i hate to think there are still such clueless people in the world.

You would know if you were gay. One of my best guy friends is almost exactly how you decribed yourself. He isn't gay. He loves classical music, cooking, wine. He won't drink beer, only wine. You are just a higher class than the "normal" guys walking around. I would say nothing wrong with it at all. I would much rather date a guy who's nails were always nice and clean, versus a guy whos nails always had crud underthem.

I wouldn't call you gay IF in fact you aren't attracted to men. However, you do sound like a metrosexual. You should look more into that. I dated a guy once that had lots of cologne, could put an outfit together better than I could, and he even got his eye brows arched! However, he was very manly ;-)

Probably not. There are feminine men out there. Its totally ok to be into the finer things in life. No one can fault you for liking the best or wanting to look good.

No it just sounds like you must be a metro-sexual. Blend of metropolitan and heterosexual.
Noun
metro sexual (plural metrosexuals)

A man concerned with self-image, self-indulgence and money. (Usually urban, heterosexual, probably affluent).
A man who is seen, sociologically, as having attributes common to homosexuals, but is in fact heterosexual.

There is no such thing as being half gay! How can you be gay if you don't like men?!
